Auction market gone to the beach
More properties to be auctioned on the Gold Coast this weekend than in any other state
THE Gold Coast has pipped every state in Australia with more properties scheduled for auction in the beach town than anywhere.
There are 164 auctions scheduled for the Gold Coast this week according to figures from CoreLogic RP Data.
The rest of Queensland has 120 auctions scheduled, followed by Victoria with 103, New South Wales, 69 and South Australia 41.
Western Australia has 14 auctions, Tasmania 11 and the ACT just one.
The huge number of auctions on the Gold Coast is driven by the annual Ray White Surfers Paradise auction day — The Event which will be held on Sunday.
In New South Wales a five-bedroom home at 8 Palisander Place, Castle Hill is scheduled to be auctioned at 10.30am on Saturday.
The property, which has a price guide of over $1.7 million is being marketed by Louis Carr Glenhaven.
The home sits on a 2002sq m block. It has a grand foyer with a timber spiral staircase and stained glass windows. The home has formal and informal living spaces, ornate chandelier roses, cornices and plaster friezes.
In Victoria a home at 13 Langford Rd, Sorrento is to be auctioned at 11am Saturday.
The three-bedroom house is being marketed through O’Donoghues First National Camberwell. The house is in a cul-de-sac which is a few minutes walk from the beach. It is on a large 1152sq m block.
There are two bathrooms, a central dining room and separate kitchen.
On the Gold Coast a palatial home at 2519 Gracemere Circuit North, Hope Island is scheduled for auction on Sunday at 11am.
The waterfront home is being marketed through Ray White Hope Island.
It has water views, an open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area.
There are four bedrooms, a study and media room plus two car parking spaces and a golf buggy parking space.
