Green light for traffic flows
Drivers and cyclists are set for improved traffic flow along the Gold Coast Highway between Broadbeach and Surfers Paraise.

Smarter pedestrian crossings
New ‘Smart’ sensors are being installed at pedestrian crossings in Southport, Main Beach and Broadbeach, as part of our ongoing program to improve pedestrian accessibility and safety.
Natural environment
This year we are investing more than $23.6 million in caring for our beaches, waterways and catchments.
Over $11 million has been allocated to natural environment conservation in this year’s budget, along with more than $88 million for parks, natural areas an recreation 90,000 new trees for Pimpama, the Pimpama River conservation area is benefiting form the planting of more than 90,000 new trees, in a significant agreement between city of gold coast and energex.
